Getting around in Tallinn

Public transport timetables / map

From the bus driver you can purchase a ticket only for cash (2€ per ticket), valid for one ride.

Discounted tickets are available for university students, pensioners, passengers aged 16 and over with severe or profound disabilities, and passengers who are parents of 3 or more children.
To get a discount on the public transport, follow the instructions on this webpage

Ride-sharing apps

Two most popular are Taxify (Android / iOS) and Uber (Android / iOS). With Taxify one can have a good overivew of the prices and waiting time.
Number verification is needed before you can start using it.
Uber has a similar system to Taxify but has enforced fixed prices for all the drivers. Verification of a phone number is mandatory and also credit card information is needed.
In busy times a surge in pricing may occur (will be displayed before ordering a car).
We suggest getting both apps.

Parking

First 15 minutes of free parking (valid only in city paid parking zone) if you use a parking clock or a written notice (marking clearly the starting time of parking).
